Affiliate Disclosure

BonusTrace is free to use because some casinos pay us a commission when you sign up through our links. This affiliate disclosure explains how that works, what it means for you, and the rules that keep our comparisons and ratings independent.

Our disclosure in brief
  • We may earn a commission when you click a casino link on BonusTrace and then sign up or deposit.
  • Using our links doesn't cost you anything extra.
  • Commission never decides a casino's rating or its position in our editorial rankings.
  • Sponsored or featured placements are always clearly labelled.
  • We also review casinos we have no commercial relationship with.

How BonusTrace is funded

Researching casinos, checking bonus terms and keeping comparisons up to date takes time. Instead of charging you, we’re funded through affiliate marketing: some casino operators and affiliate networks pay us when a visitor we refer opens an account or makes a deposit.

How affiliate commissions work

Casino affiliate agreements usually use one of these payment models:

ModelHow we’re paid
CPA (cost per acquisition)A one-off fee when a referred visitor registers and makes a qualifying first deposit.
Revenue shareA percentage of the casino’s net revenue from referred players over time.
HybridA combination of a one-off fee and a revenue share.

We want to be open about revenue share: it means an affiliate can earn more when referred players lose money. That’s a real conflict of interest, and it’s one of the main reasons for the editorial rules below and for our focus on clear wagering terms and responsible gambling.

Does it cost you anything?

No. You pay nothing extra for using our links, and the offer you receive is the same as, or occasionally better than, the offer available directly from the casino. We only call an offer “exclusive” when we have evidence that it isn’t available elsewhere.

Which links are affiliate links?

Buttons such as “View bonus”, “Visit casino” and “Claim offer” that take you to a casino’s website may be affiliate links. Text links to casinos in our reviews and guides may be too. We mark commercial links with the rel="sponsored" attribute, as search engines recommend.

Links to regulators, help organisations and other information sources are never affiliate links.

How we keep our ratings independent

  • Licensing first. Licensing and eligibility for your market are pass-or-fail checks. A large bonus or a high commission can’t make up for them.
  • Commission doesn’t set rankings. Editorial ratings and the default “Our rating” order are based on our review criteria, not on how much a casino pays us.
  • Sponsored means labelled. If a casino pays for a featured or sponsored position, it carries a visible label and doesn’t change the editorial order.
  • No partnership required. We can review and rate casinos we have no commercial agreement with.
  • Corrections welcome. If you think a rating or a fact is wrong, tell us and we’ll look at it again.

What we look at when we rate a casino

Our editorial ratings consider:

  • Payments – deposit and withdrawal methods, limits, fees and documented processing times.
  • Terms and transparency – how clearly bonus conditions, wagering, maximum bets and withdrawal caps are explained.
  • Player-protection tools – deposit and loss limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion.
  • Games – range, providers and availability in your market.
  • Customer support – channels, languages, hours and responsiveness.
  • Mobile usability – how well the casino works on phones and tablets.

Bonuses are assessed separately on their real cost to claim: the wagering burden at a standard deposit, restrictions, transparency, amount relative to the qualifying deposit and the time allowed.

What we will never do

  • Accept payment in exchange for a positive review or a higher rating.
  • Publish invented reviews, fake countdown timers or false claims of exclusivity.
  • Describe gambling as risk-free or promise guaranteed winnings.
  • Target our content at anyone under 18.
  • Suggest using a VPN or other workaround to access casinos or offers that aren’t available where you live.

Advertising standards

Casino operators are responsible for the conduct of their affiliates, and many regulators set strict rules on gambling advertising. We aim to follow the advertising rules of the markets we cover, show significant bonus conditions next to the offers they apply to, and keep our content clearly separate from the casinos’ own marketing.

Questions or concerns

If you have questions about our commercial relationships or think we’ve fallen short of this policy, email hello@bonustrace.com. You can also read our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Compare offers on your terms

Read the significant conditions before you claim. Our comparisons put them right next to each offer.

BonusTrace is an independent information and comparison website operated by Bonus Trace, Malta. We are not a gambling operator and do not accept bets or hold player funds. Some links are affiliate links: we may earn a commission if you sign up with a casino, at no extra cost to you, and this never affects our ratings. Bonus offers are subject to each casino’s own terms and may not be available in your country. Gambling involves risk and can be addictive, so only gamble with money you can afford to lose. 18+ only.
